Bonjour Jean, comment commence l’histoire de ton v\u00e9lo stp ?<\/strong>
\nApr\u00e8s avoir r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un premier fixie, je recherchais un vieux v\u00e9lo des ann\u00e9es 30 ou 40, qui servirait de base au montage d’un singlespeed au look retro. Je suis tomb\u00e9 par hasard sur une annonce montrant ce v\u00e9lo de marque Garin des ann\u00e9es 30, pas loin de chez moi et pour pas cher. J\u2019ai craqu\u00e9 pour ses raccords de tubes, son guidon et sa selle. J\u2019ai donc fait l\u2019acquisition de l\u2019engin sans h\u00e9siter.<\/p>\n

Quelle \u00e9tait ton id\u00e9e de montage ?<\/strong>
\nL\u2019objectif \u00e9tait de le simplifier au maximum, pour ajouter le cot\u00e9 moderne, et de garder le cadre, la fourche, le guidon et la selle pour le cot\u00e9 vintage. J\u2019ai donc opt\u00e9 pour une couleur beige, de l\u2019aluminium et du marron pour compl\u00e9ter la couleur de la selle. L\u2019engin \u00e9tant pr\u00e9vu pour des ballades tranquilles, je n\u2019ai pas d\u2019objectif de performances, poids ou maniabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Par quoi as-tu commenc\u00e9 ?<\/strong>
\nJ\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 par d\u00e9pouiller l\u2019engin, meuler les supports de d\u00e9railleur, de pompe, et de carter, puis j\u2019ai envoy\u00e9 la bestiole \u00e0 sabler pour une peinture \u00e9poxy<\/a> cr\u00e8me. D\u2019habitude je fais \u00e7a au pistolet, mais il fallait essayer. Je suis un peu d\u00e9\u00e7u par la finition de l\u2019\u00e9poxy<\/a>, la prochaine fois je me remets au pistolet. J\u2019ai profit\u00e9 de l\u2019absence du cadre pour polir les pi\u00e8ces aluminium (guidon, potence, et une tige de selle trouv\u00e9e sur le net). D\u2019abord un l\u00e9ger pon\u00e7age pour \u00e9liminer les griffures, puis j\u2019ai pass\u00e9 des disques de polissages de plus en plus fins.<\/p>\n

Et pour la selle ?<\/strong>
\nJ\u2019ai totalement d\u00e9pouill\u00e9 la selle qui \u00e9tait assez corrod\u00e9e. J\u2019ai sabl\u00e9 et repeint l\u2019armature, bien nettoy\u00e9 et nourri le cuir, qui malgr\u00e9 son aspect abim\u00e9 est rest\u00e9e tr\u00e8s solide. Lors du remontage, j\u2019ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de remplacer les rivets en cuivre par des rivets pop alu, pour rester dans l\u2019association avec l\u2019aluminium des autres pi\u00e8ces. <\/p>\n

Et pour les autres pi\u00e8ces ?<\/strong>
\nLe reste du v\u00e9lo est constitu\u00e9 de pi\u00e8ces neuves. Une paire de roues achet\u00e9e sur le net, ont remplac\u00e9 les anciennes roues corrod\u00e9es et voil\u00e9es. Je tenais \u00e0 avoir un syst\u00e8me \u00e0
r\u00e9trop\u00e9dalage<\/a> afin de ne pas avoir de syst\u00e8me de frein apparent. Bien s\u00fbr, les jantes sont en aluminium pour rester dans le concept. Les roues ont finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 habill\u00e9es de gros pneus dans un marron proche de la selle. Je voulais un p\u00e9dalier moderne et en aluminium, alors j’ai trouv\u00e9 sur un Galli qui m\u2019a tout de suite convenu. J\u2019ai install\u00e9 une chaine marron et les p\u00e9dales le plus standard possible. Pour finir, une guidoline effet cuir sur le guidon, j\u2019ai peint les bouchons noirs pour qu\u2019ils s\u2019accordent avec le cadre. La plaque du v\u00e9lo ayant disparu avant mon achat, je l\u2019ai remplac\u00e9 par une capsule de bi\u00e8re irlandaise en souvenir de mes \u00e9tudes pass\u00e9es la bas.<\/p>\n

Pas trop de probl\u00e8me de montage ?<\/strong>
\nLe plus compliqu\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 de trouver un boitier qui puisse s\u2019installer dans mon vieux cadre, le filetage \u00e9tant un vieux filetage fran\u00e7ais, trouv\u00e9 encore une fois sur le net !<\/p>\n

Heureux ?<\/strong>
\nJ\u2019aime beaucoup rouler avec ce v\u00e9lo, il est confortable et \u00ab facile \u00bb comme cela a pu l\u2019\u00eatre pour son assemblage.<\/p>\n
